A leaker has leaked several potential additional Nintendo games that will be available for the next Nintendo Switch 2 gaming console
According to a reliable leaker known for frequent Nintendo-related leaks, new Super Mario 3D, Pokemon, and Super Monkey Ball games are currently in development for Nintendo’s next gaming system, tentatively referred to as the Switch 2. Recently, there has been a rapid and intense stream of leaks regarding the Nintendo Switch 2. Of course, gamers should still take all leaks with a grain of salt, as while some have been proven true, others may turn out to be false.
One of the recent and intriguing leaks about the Switch 2 suggests that the system is expected to launch in either September or November 2024 with two available models. One version of the Switch 2 is rumored to be a digital-only gaming device retailing for $400, while the other version will feature physical game card slots and be priced at $450. Like all rumors about the next Nintendo gaming console, fans should treat these details as speculative until next year when we’ll have more concrete information.
The latest rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2 also tie into the games that are expected to be released for this new gaming system shortly after its 2024 launch. According to the leaker Zippo, who has been right with some predictions and wrong with others, Sega is preparing a new Super Monkey Ball game, believed to be developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the renowned team behind the Yakuza series. However, it’s worth noting that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has previously developed two Super Monkey Ball games, so there’s a valid reason for them to be entrusted with a third installment.
Zippo further mentioned that the new Super Monkey Ball game will not only be released for Nintendo’s next-generation gaming console but also for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox. According to Zippo, the new Super Monkey Ball is expected to arrive in the “early months” of the Nintendo Switch 2. Assuming the leaked release date for the Switch 2 is accurate, this means fans can expect the game in Q4 2024 or early 2025.
Zippo also reiterated their previous claim that a new Super Mario 3D game is in development for the successor to the Switch. They also added that a new PokΓ©mon game will arrive for the Switch 2 within the first few months after its release, but no specific details were provided. Of course, it’s possible that all this information is speculative, so gamers should keep that in mind before getting too excited. More details about the Nintendo Switch 2 and its games will be revealed in 2024.
