To prevent strong teams from “fading” too soon, Riot Games has introduced an additional competition rule for the MSI 2024 international League of Legends tournament.
As usual, Riot Games will organize two international League of Legends tournaments every year: MSI and Worlds. In which MSI will be held in the middle of the season with the participation of the strongest teams in the world, the 2024 season is no exception. And according to the revealed match schedule, there are just over 2 weeks left until the MSI 2024 Play-In Round will officially kick off.
So recently Riot Games also revealed the competition rules for MSI 2024, including some innovations compared to the MSI 2023 season.
First is the competition rules in the Play-In Round, the draw of this stage will be held by Riot Games on April 20.
Teams will be divided into 4 different categories including: Rank 1: LPL2, LCK2 Rank 2: LEC2, LCS2 Rank 3: PCS1, VCS1 4th place: LLA1, CBLOL1 The teams will be divided into 2 groups, each group will have one team in each division. T
he 1st place team will face the 4th place team and the 2nd place team will be paired with the 3rd place team in the first match in each group.
Next is the competition rules for MSI 2024 Branch Round, the draw ceremony will be held on May 5. Teams continue to be divided into 4 different categories including: Rank 1: LPL1, LCK1
Rank 2: LEC1, LCS1 3rd place: 2 teams won 2-0 in the Play-In Round 4th place: 2 teams won 2-1 in the Play-In Round Basically, the teams will be divided equally into 2 branches, each branch includes only 1 team in each division.
